For a wedding venue steeped in history and character, the University of Sydney is the perfect spot with its grandiose architecture. The grand banquet hall called The Refectory managed by HostCo, boasts eight metre high ceilings, heritage wood panelling and a striking mural that stretches from edge to edge being a perfect canvas for event styling.
It is an ideal option for larger scale celebrations with seating capacity of up to 200 banquet style or 500 people for a cocktail set up. All event catering and space hire is run by the university’s partner, HostCo. There is also an adjoining terrace and garden for pre-wedding drinks. Couples can also opt for having their ceremony within the beautiful university grounds with various spaces such as the Great Hall or Quadrangle Lawns available for hire.
