For a wedding venue steeped in history and character, the University of Sydney is the perfect spot with its grandiose architecture. The grand banquet hall called The Refectory managed by HostCo, boasts 8-metre high ceilings, heritage wood panelling and a striking mural that stretches from edge to edge, being a perfect canvas for event styling.
The Refectory venue is an ideal option for larger-scale celebrations with seating capacity of up to 200 banquet style or 500 people for a cocktail set up. All event catering and space hire is run by the university’s partner, HostCo. There is also an adjoining terrace and garden for pre-wedding drinks. Couples can also opt for having their ceremony within the beautiful university grounds, with various spaces such as the Great Hall or Quadrangle Lawns available for hire.
