Kalinya Estate is a garden venue in Bargo, south-west of Sydney, with a white octagonal gazebo for the ceremony, a pond and lawn for canapés, and the Carriage House for the reception. We've designed the flowers for a wedding here, and this guide shows what we set up in each space and what we'd do again.
The spaces at a glance
| Space | Used for | What works |
|---|---|---|
| The Gazebo | Ceremony | Low floor arrangements on the steps and paving either side, kept bright against the white paint |
| Lawn by the pond | Canapés | Flowers stay with the ceremony; guests move through the garden |
| Welcome sign | Arrival | Single stems fixed to the sign, on an easel at the lawn |
| Carriage House | Reception | Bud vases down long tables, with draping and greenery along the beams overhead |
Ceremony at the white gazebo
The gazebo is white, so it takes colour well. For our wedding here we kept the arrangements low and wide, on the steps and on the paving either side, in orange dahlias, pink roses, coral and soft blue. The gazebo stays the frame and the flowers sit at its base, so nothing competes with the couple. Wet-weather ceremonies move under the car port, so we plan for that as well.

Welcome sign and arrival
The welcome sign sat on an easel at the edge of the lawn, with the ceremony chairs and gazebo behind it. We fixed single stems straight onto the sign, so it matched the ceremony colours without needing a separate arrangement.

Reception in the Carriage House
The Carriage House has beams, so we looked up. We draped white fabric from the beams and hung clusters of greenery, then kept the tables simple: rows of small bud vases down long white-clothed tables in red gloriosa lilies, pink and bright mixed stems. The overhead install does the big visual work, and the bud vases keep guests able to see each other across the table.

The bouquets
Not every flower stays in the venue. The bouquets here were bright and loose, in magenta and coral dahlias, orange and pink roses, white lisianthus and soft blue, with ribbons that picked up the same colours.

Plan Your Flowers at Kalinya Estate
Good to Know Before You Plan
- Distance. Kalinya is in Bargo, outside Sydney. We deliver the bridal flowers on the morning, then set up the ceremony and reception flowers on site.
- Wet weather. Ceremonies move under the car port, so the arrangements need to work in either spot.
- The overhead install. In the Carriage House we pinned the draping to the beams and tied the greenery on with cable ties, which makes it quick for the couple to take down.
- Pack-down. At this wedding the couple and guests took the flowers and vases down the next morning, and the hireware came back to our studio the following week.
- Check with the venue. Access times, what you can hang from the beams and what the venue supplies are set by Kalinya, so confirm them before your design is final.

Kalinya Estate wedding flowers FAQ
How much do wedding flowers cost at Kalinya Estate?
There's no set price. It depends on your guest numbers, the scale of your ceremony and reception design, and the travel to Bargo. After your enquiry we send a tailored range estimate, then a detailed proposal. Our guide to wedding flower pricing explains what drives it.
Do you set up the flowers on site?
Yes. We deliver the bridal flowers, set up the ceremony flowers, and install the reception flowers and any overhead draping and greenery.
What happens if it rains?
The ceremony moves under the car port. We design with that in mind so the flowers work in either spot.
